Special message from District Governor, Ritchie, DTM

Good news! Toastmasters International has just announced that Club Officer kit will now available in Traditional Chinese language. The kit include manuals ranging from Club President to Club SAA. To get a set of the Club Officer kit, please follow the below process flow.

  •  Division Govenors to compile the following information and send to DG by March 25th 2010 (Malaysian time)
    • Club Name and Club Number
    • Carbon Copy (CC) your respective LGET - P (Thanni, ACB, CL) or LGET - R (Ariff, DTM)

The Club Officer kit will be delivered directly to the clubs registered begining May 2010 once the clubs have submitted the new club officers list for the incoming term 2010/2011 via Toastmasters International website.

 

This certainly brings good news to our Division M (Mandarin Division) and other members who wish to have their roles explained in Mandarin.

  • 20 Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM)

Membership Awards - "Marketing High Flyers"

District 51 Governor Ritchie Chong, DTM and District 51-P Lieutenant-Governor Marketing Francis Ng, DTM are pleased to offer their congratulations to the Presidents and Club Officers of the latest Marketing high-flyers.

Results of the latest Marketing Excellence Awards are now available – for the Mid-Term Award, recognizing those Clubs which have achieved significant growth in their Toastmasters Clubs’ membership by making the greatest net gain in membership during the period from 1 October 2009 - 31 January 2010.

 

Only 37 of the 214 Clubs in District 51-Peninsula succeeded in making a minimum 5% nett gain in membership during the four-month period.

In true Toastmasters’ tradition, let’s hear a loud “drum-roll” for the Club which gained a mammoth 64.3% increase in their membership : 

 Great Eastern Toastmasters Club from Division W

 

 

And a second “drum-roll” for the Club which gained a huge 56.3% 

 Pan Pacific KLIA Toastmasters Club from Division C

 

And a third “drum-roll”, please for the Club which gained a large 50% 

AFC Toastmasters Club from Division W 

 

The Club Officers from these clubs will receive their award from the District Governor at the District 51 Annual Convention, Imperial Hotel, Miri on 21 May 2010.

Educational Awards - "Distinguished Club by April 30 2010"

Warm greetings from the LGET's desk. We are pleased to announce the education campaign which will reward the achievers at the District 51 Annual Convention, Imperial Hotel, Miri on 21 May 2010.

 

Conditions of winning this award:

  • Achieve a minimum of 5 DCP goals by April 30 2010 with condition the April dues are submitted to TI by April 10 2010
  • Ensure 2 of the GOALS consists of 2 CCs and 1 AC achieved

Some tips on what's needed to achieve the goals (from LGET):

  • Get the April dues remitted to TI by April 10 2010
  • Check your clubs' GOALS and ensure yoru club is on track to a minimum of 5 GOALS
  • Ensure 2 of the GOALS consists of 2 CCs and 1 AC
  • If required, arrange additional or joint meetings and visit clubs to do assignments
  • Gentle reminder that membership requirement of at least 20 members or a net growth of 5 new members to qualify for DCP

Let's do it for OURSELVES, CLUB, AREA, DIVISION and DISTRICT!
